About: JSWEB Ltd

Founded in 2005 by Jamie Scott, the JSWeb vision is to 'allow businesses to advertise and sell online with ease' and to do this JSWeb offers 'Affordable, Friendly eCommerce website design and hosting solutions'. As with many web-designers and hosts, JSWeb initially used third party hosting providers to host the websites. It was soon realised that this was far from ideal as eCommerce websites need to be up and running 24/7/365 and the company quickly decided the best approach would be to own and manage their own servers, thereby ensuring greater control.

To ensure JSWeb is able to meet its vision, it has built up a team of IT professionals who each bring true value to the business, allowing it to move forward in providing excellent eCommerce solutions to a wide range of Small to Medium Enterprises.

JSWeb became a Limited Company in early 2007 as growth continued and now has over 350 eCommerce and CMS websites hosted on the servers. However, the actual customer base is much greater than that as work is happily undertaken on sites hosted elsewhere. JSWeb customers come from all corners of the world and range from the sole proprietor running a start-up business out of his own home to multi-million pound major companies.

JSWeb's investment in both great team players and its own hosting environment makes JSWeb stand out from the crowd and enables the company to provide a unique and professional service that is second to none.

• Our company is registered in both the UK and Ireland. 

• We are a team of 8 IT professionals which allows us to provide web services (specialising in eCommerce) ranging from Design, Build, Support, Hosting and Accounts.

MEET THE TEAM! 

JAMIE (Founder/Managing Director)

Jamie's first introduction to the web was actually through radio transmission. During his schooling he became very interested in CB and HAM radio. Due to the frequency of their Ham radio they were only able to communicate locally so a number of the team decided to focus on the use of Packet Radio which allowed their computers to communicate over the airwaves on a bigger scale.

Jamie purchased an Amstrad 6128 computer back in 1985 and the team went one step further and built a hypertext (now just know as html) web page. Through the use of Packet Radio and their website they could then communicate around the world!

Following university Jamie worked for Unisys Ltd as a consultant (on client sites around Europe); then as a Certified Project Manager at nPower (Gas and Electricity) where he managed an array of web site projects and worked with top web agencies. Finally, he worked as an IT Team Manager at Jaguar/Landrover Cars.

Jamie then decided to take the step to setup his own company (JSWeb) to provide eCommerce websites to businesses who wanted to sell online.

RICK (Project Manager and Editorial specialist)

Rick worked with Jamie before the formation of JSWeb. He has extensive experience in eCommerce solutions and spends valuable time providing support on Zen Cart (eCommerce) both to clients and on the Zen Cart forums. Rick's specialities are setting up shipping solutions - and teaching people how to properly prepare their images for display on the web!

Before entering the world of the web, Rick served as an aircrew officer in the RAF for 20 years flying F4 Phantoms which certainly gave him a sense of order and structure which he brings to the team.

His role within JSWeb covers both team and project management as well as support to customers - and just occasionally, hands on work in site building and maintenance/improvements.

PAWEL (Web Dev Master)

Pawel has worked with JSWeb from formation. His development skills, specifically in PHP which is used by Zen Cart, are second to none!

He brings true quality to JSWeb and works around the clock to ensure JSWeb's clients web requirements are met!

Zen Cart enhancement that we never thought were possible have come from Pawel which makes him and JSWeb stand out from the crowd.

As well as getting his head stuck into the code, Pawel also helps to train both those within the JSWeb team and works closely to support clients throughout the project life cycle - a great all rounder!

Tomek (2nd Line Support and Dev Master)

Tomek joined JSWeb in early 2010. He covers two main areas, client support via the HelpDesk and eCommerce website development via the GroupHub. This includes all kinds of work from quick coding fixes, module installations to full design template builds.

He brings great qualities to JSWeb, not only does he get stuck into the development of websites but he's also able to then communicate effectively (in layman terms) with our clients.

Tomek also keeps an eye on the eCommerce industry (new modules, applications which would suit our customers growing needs). He is also able to keep our team very entertained throughout the day (believe me this is a great asset!)

We're really pleased that Tomek joined JSWeb and we're right behind him as he learns new skills along the way!

KAROLINA (Design and Concept creator)

Karonlina is head of JSWeb's design team. Following her university degree Karolina now specialises in website design, produce unique, usable and professional Zen Cart eCommerce designs for each business project.

Any of her spare time is spent monitoring website designs and usability trends and she contributes to several design forums. This ensures that each project design is aligned to the best standards.

LEE (1st Line Support Master)

Lee studied Graphical Design at college where he was able to gain great design flair! He then joined a web agency in his area and worked for them for three years, giving him wide exposure to a variety of roles from online/offline design to client management and support.

JSWeb met with Lee during his time with the agency and quickly realised that his level of skills (and his approach to business) would certainly allow JSWeb to raise the bar! He joined JSWeb in late 2009 and has quickly become a valuable team member, allowing JSWeb to offer much improved support to our growing client base.

STUART (IT Manager)

Stuart is JSWeb's hosting manager and ensures that all servers are up and running to meet our clients’ needs. He works closely with the NOC team (the team who are building new servers and who manage their uptime 24/7).

Stuarts's background is in IT team management for an array of global website providers. Using this IT knowledge he is able to ensure JSWeb's architecture is always moving forward.

JOHN (Accounts Manager)

John is a qualified IT professional with over 35 years experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on a large range of projects. He has worked at board level for a number of years and has extensive experience in Education and Training, as well as in working with both SME’s and larger Companies.

John is aware of the demands made on SME’s and ensures JSWeb is understanding of their needs. In addition to his IT qualifications, John has a Masters in Business Administration and now specialises in Finance and Accounting.
