1. Sign up for a JSWeb hosting account - you have the choice of our JSWeb "Start-up" (allowing 1 website); or "Premium" (allowing 2 websites + more bandwidth usage) accounts. Compare our plans here

2. On sign up, you will be asked whether you want to purchase a new DOMAIN or TRANSFER your website domain "www.yourdomain.com" BUT we will also grant you a FREE temporary url (e.g. d12345.jswebconsole.co.uk) that allows you to setup and work on your new website, until you are ready to go live. Once you are ready to go live, you can simply point your "www.yourdomain.com" domain to your new JSWeb account. --- This all ensures 100% uptime.

3. JSWeb will email you your full login details once your plan has been setup on our servers.
You will receive three emails:
- An initial sign up confirmation (awaiting authorisation)
- A New Account: providing your new login details, with links to help tutorials
- A Transfer domain notification, outlining how to manage your domain.

4. As we specialise in eCommerce; your "New Account" email will ask whether you would like us to install Zen Cart for you for FREE. Just reply to our email to let us know. If not, then we wish you luck with your online ventures...enjoy your Zen Cart approved hosting.

5. Setting up your email accounts - Log into your JSWeb hosting account, click on MAILINFO and follow the great step by step tutorial here
- You can setup emails to be received and held on the JSWeb mail server; or set them up to be forwarded to your Yahoo/MSN/GMail/etc 3rd party email system.

6. Ready to go live? -- If you purchased a new domain during your JSWeb sign up, then your store is now live on the internet! If you are transferring a domain then the next steps are detailed in section C below

Note: During the sign up process you will be asked if you want to purchase a new domain or setup/transfer your existing domain. Please select option 2 to setup/transfer a domain. This can be done when your site has been successfully migrated.

2. Your account will be authorised and you will receive email confirmation containing your account login and FTP details.

Note: In your welcome email, you will get a temporary link to access your NEW JSWeb site before anything goes live. At this point, please don't make any Domain NAMESERVER or TRANSFER decision.

NEXT - Follow steps 3/4 if you want to migrate your site yourself. If you would like the JSWeb team to perform the migration then please provide your site's FTP and ACCOUNT details. Please note, there is a £70 charge for a migration (3-4hrs work)

3. Log into JSWEB Control Panel https://cp.jswebconsole.co.uk:8443

a) Log into your new JSWeb account and under "MYSQL" please create a database. (Watch video here...)

b) Log into your new JSWeb account and under "MAIL INFO", you can create your new email accounts (Watch video here...)

4. Migration of your Zen Cart site

a) FTP into your account (we recommend a tool such as FILEZILLA or CUTE FTP ). Next download all files from your previous hosting account and then upload them to your new JSWeb account folder e.g. /www.yourdomain.com/*

b) Create a backup of your existing store's database (using phpMyAdmin). You can then upload this via your JSWeb account, under DATABASE > PHPMYADMIN >

c) Finally, change the settings within your "/includes/configure.php" and "/admin/includes/configure.php" Zen Cart files i.e. Use your new temporary JSWeb email; database and folder settings.

5. Finally, Domain Transfer (Zero Down Time)

Verify that everything is working on your NEW site (graphics, web pages, links, etc...)

Once verified, go to your registrar and change your "name servers" to those that are mentioned in your setup email

Your site will be updated WORLDWIDE within 24-96 hours.

Once your new JSWeb account has been setup, you can simply migrate your existing Zen Cart files across to your new JSWeb account via FTP. Additionally from within your JSWeb account, you can create a database and via MyPhpAdmin migrate your existing store's database.

• Transfer your domain name. (Optional)
  
  If you would like to transfer your domain and consolidate your registration and web hosting to one source, then we can help. Transfer your domain to JSWeb by updating your domain TAG = [eNom]; There is an administration fee of approx £15. JSWeb will then look after your domain there after.
  
  
• From the moment the "button is pushed" to initiate the transfer, there is a period of approximately 24-96 hours whilst the change is propagated throughout the Web. The effect this has on you is that some people will instantly be able to access your site and some will have to wait for the full period. There is no way of knowing just who will have access and when!Your email will also be affected, so it is wise to plan ahead as to when to make the switch in order to minimize any lost traffic. A detailed explanation of the DNS propagation process is available here.
  
  
• Cancel with your previous host.
  
  After the appropriate propagation time, you can go and cancel the hosting account you have at your previous host as all of your website traffic and emails should now be coming to your new JSWeb account.
